Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National park
Depart Nairobi in the morning after being picked up from your airport or hotel en route to Amboseli National Park, which sits at the foot of the Africa’s highest mountain – the snow capped Mt. Kilimanjaro. You will have lunch at the lodge before taking part in an afternoon game drive. Your dinner and overnight will be at the Amboseli Sopa Lodge or similar.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park
You will spend a full day in the photogenic Amboseli National Park, one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. Situated close to the Kenya – Tanzania border, Amobseli lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa (5,896m), whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days. This park is often referred to as “The Home of Elephants” as some of the largest elephant herds are found here. Amboseli also contains vast groups of zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, buffalos, hippos and antelope. Also found are lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos and many species of plain game. You will take part in morning and afternoon game drives and have your meals and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Wildlife Lodge or similar.

Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Nakuru
Depart the lodge shortly after breakfast for a morning game drive before exiting the park and proceeding to Lake Nakuru via Nairobi. You will have lunch en route followed by a late afternoon game drive. From a distance this soda lake appears ringed in pink thanks to the thousands of flamingos and over 400 other species of birds that call it home. Lake Nakuru has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species – particularly the Rothschild Giraffe and the black and white rhinos. Lions, water bucks, buffalo and baboons are also residents here. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Flamingo Hill luxury tented camp.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara
After breakfast you will participate in a game drive before departing for Maasai Mara, the land of vast migrating animals. You will arrive in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Your dinner and overnight will be at Mara Sopa Lodge or Mara Leisure Tented Lodge.

Main destination: Masai Mara National Reserve

Day 5: Maasai Mara Game Reserve
You will spend a full day in Maasai Mara in search of the “Big 5.” The Mara offers an abundance of wildlife, including over 450 species of animals. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopards, elephants and many kinds of antelopes. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

Day 6: Masai Mara – Nairobi
You will participate in an early morning game drive before returning to the lodge for breakfast. You will then journey to Nairobi and the airport, where your safari will come to an end.
