Day 1 – Nairobi – Masai Mara Safaris in Kenya – African Habitat Kenya Safari Holidays
Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport Nairobi, You will be met and welcomed by our airport representative, short briefing about the trip and then later drive via the scenic Great Rift Valley, to the Mara Reserve arriving in good time for lunch. Afternoon game drive is taken. Day 2 – Masai Mara Safari tour Discovery – African Habitat Wildebeest Migration trails.

The Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular game sanctuary. It is the most famous and most visited game reserve in Kenya. The film ‘Out of Africa’ was made to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara.
Day 3 – Masai Mara Great Migration corridor & the Big 5 Trails – African Habitat Meet the Big Five in action
Another full day spent trailing the big five as they also trail the wildebeest and other antelopes for their dinner. This is another great day for further game drives in the vast Masai Mara plains in search of the big 5, picnic lunch served in the park. Diner and overnight at the camp/lodge as mentioned above. An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 430 per person.
A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Masai Mara grazing fields from late June. The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to October. The reserve abounds with birdlife since dose to about 452 species have been recorded. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in this park.
Day 4: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National park
Wake early and take off for a sunrise morning game drive and then head back to the camp for a full breakfast followed by a drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will enjoy lunch along the way; arriving at Lake Nakuru Sarova Lion Hills lodge by evening with enroute game drive to the lodge. Here you will enjoy the lodge/hotel facilities and rest up for tomorrow’s adventures in the park. Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Nairobi
After breakfast, head to the park for a game drive. Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population, is one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles. Primarily a bird sanctuary, there are a considerable number of animal to be encountered, such as zebra, elephant and gazelle. This park provides one of the best chances for viewing the rhino. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. This park is one of the few places where you will see the Rothschild’s giraffe. In the afternoon, you will exit the park, enjoying lunch as you drive back to Nairobi. You will stop for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, arriving in Nairobi in the late afternoon. An optional dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant is available for an additional US$ 45 per person). You will then be dropped off at the airport for your departing flight to Zanzibar. This is where your safari will end.
